Brig Gen (Ret.) Kathleen Flarity, DNP PhD (USAF) is the Deputy Director of the CU Anschutz, Center for COMBAT Research. She is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, and Director of the COMBAT Research Scholar Program. She is an experienced nurse practitioner and emergency and critical care flight nurse. She has over 41 years of military service, including multiple deployments and commands, most recently serving as the Mobilization Assistant to the Command Surgeon, Air Mobility Command (Scott AFB, IL). She has published 39 journal articles, including 21 peer-reviewed research articles, 16 book chapters and has delivered hundreds of national and international invited lectures or keynote addresses. She is the Immediate Past-President of the Aerospace Nursing and Allied Health Professionals Society, a Constituent Organization of the Aerospace Medical Association.
